Largest fruit display: Westmont Jewel Osco sets new Guinness World Record with 70K pounds of bananas
WESTMONT, Ill. (WLS) — A grocery store in suburban Westmont set a new Guinness World Record Wednesday.The Jewel Osco at N. Cass and Ogden avenues put together the world’s largest display of bananas.

It took the store three days to set up the display with approximately 70,000 pounds of bananas.
Now, all the bananas are being given away for free.
Any leftovers will go to a local food bank.
